This Wearable Can be Charged By Sweat.

Many of us now keep tabs on how we're doing by wearing health and fitness trackers like those from Fitbit. These type of Devices need battery to work properly.

But Professor Wei Gao, California Institute of Technology (Caltech) , has made a electronic skin which shows the status of Health. This Skin is made of Soft rubber and this is used on Normal skin. This Device not only monitors Breath rate , Body Temperature , Blood pressure but Also keep an eye on Nerve Cells which controls Muscles.

The best Part About this Device is that it don't need any battery, it is charged by Sweat. The Biofuel cells which are installed in this device can be charged by Human Sweat.

Our sweat contains concentrations of lactate. This by-product of normal metabolic processes is absorbed by the electronic skin's fuel cells – which are made from carbon nanotubes that host a platinum/cobalt catalyst and an enzyme that breaks down the lactate and is held in composite mesh. Here, the body's waste product is mixed with oxygen from the air around us to generate water and pyruvate.

While near-field communication is a common approach for many battery-free e-skin systems, it could be only used for power transfer and data readout over a very short distance," explained Gao. "Bluetooth communication consumes higher power but is a more attractive approach with extended connectivity for practical medical and robotic applications.

They Said That they are looking forward to more devices like this for the betterment of mankind.
